friends,<br /><br />one of my friends winston chua was able to visit Wolfsburg Castle in 2002 and take fotos of some of the exhibits there. he didnt know i also am a vw fan so when i emailed him about my orange bug couple of days ago..he was kind enough to share that he too is a vw fan and that he was able to go to germany and visit wolfsburg castle in 2002. Yes he was kind enough to grant me permission to upload all the fotos shown here,<br /><br /><br />kainggit i wish i was also there with him when he took these fantastic fotos.<br /><br />thanks so much winston!<br /><br />some notes from winston's email to me<br /><br /><br />1) Wolfsburg Castle is the castle with wolf logo that you sometimes see on<br />the steering wheel horn button or the hood emblem of beetles. Wolfsburg is<br />also the name of the city where the VW plant is.<br />2) VW plant is 2 miles long!<br />3) VW Autostadt (auto city). The building on the right is the customer<br />center and the 2 towers are storage for cars ready for delivery. All the<br />cars in the towers are all parked facing the window. The center of the<br />tower is hollow and there is a giant fork lift that brings down the car for<br />customer pick up. WOW 160 beautiful cars arrived. There was a Parts Sale and T shirts Sale. also the organizers gave lunch packs to those who confirmed attendance over the emails. The agenda touched on world vw day celebration June 14 and the June 21 SM BALIUAG run.nice to know some of the vw people last nite. the meeting last from 830 to 1030pm, Mckoy Michael who owns the Kombi slammed with 18 inch rubbers was there. class="single_photo_header clearfix">dear friends,<br /><br />i received the call from manoy de la cruz...late afternoon of june 12 2009. he is inviting me to join the VWCP Bulacan chapter meeting in CALTEX MALOLOS at around 830pm.<br /><br />i am helping sm baliuag events coordinator Miss Jeune Teodoro whose father is a VW fan and who shall be celebrating her birthday on June 22, 2009 so of course i said yes to manoy.<br /><br />unknown to manoy..my orange bug which i acquired sometimes in april had to stay at the VW shop of Mang Mario in sumapa town and had so many things replaced she had to stay there for a month!<br /><br />so i think i have but 50kms on her only since she came out of the hospital and last 9th of june after a week being left out in the rains (my open garage had 5 dogs who can shew parts of her in no time) the starter of orange bug bonked and i had to ask the help of mechanic mario to repair the starter.<br /><br />so the 830pm meeting was set and after giving orange bug the Turtle wax treatment...i asked the help of my boy Nathaniel to ride with me so in case of emergency he can push the vw. My wife initially didnt want to go as she was tired. However when i was about to leave she decided to come along too.<br /><br /><br />we left at about 8pm. At the sta rita toll gate i saw a house lizard she is stuck on my windshield so i asked my wife the photographer to take a photo shoot. well lizards are a lucky charm here in the Philippines and never gets killed so i want the foto taken. friends,<br /><br />last june 9 after 4 days of rain under the sun...i checked out orange bug and she couldnt crank up. the battery is good so i guess the starter dont want to crank. so i called my neigbor mr mario who is my neighbor here at rocka1bikeshop Plaridel town.<br /><br /><br />i ve been through the same situation before. yes the starter was the culprit. the bushings had to be class="postbody">dear friends,<br /><br />after 10 years without a vw beetle...riding mitsubishi versa van and adventure most of the time...i decided to get one this year. I was scouting for a vw since last year. unfortunately kailangan pala may 100k ka lagi sa bulsa...kasi habang isip isip pa ako...mas mabilis mag labas ng downpayment ang iba natin kaibigan..so after the nice vw appears in the vwcp.org forums..within 12 hours of posting...di pa ako nakakapunta ..SOLD NA sagot ng seller sa celfone!<br /><br />anyway i was telling ka rene the previous owner over lunch today ..."ka rene...its like owning a dog this vw love affair thing ....when you sell your volks am sure you will look for another one a better looking one as a new pet." sir rene laughs....<br /><br /><br />This just goes to show that marami pa naghahanap ng magandang vw.<br /><br />anyway im attaching several fotos here..for those who was patient with me and my queries...thox, manoy delacruz, jake donpedro, paktoy, so many others i texted i forgot your name already salamat po for your kindness.<br /><br />i have to thank hotvolks sherwin as he was as nice as his papa eran of proj 6...because even though i didnt buy his 69 yellow volks...and it was raining so hard along mindanao avenue...last monday ...sinamahan niya ako...he was kind enough bring me to see check out the vw for sale (it was not shown at oto resiklo.am sure if sherwin posted this orange bug for mr rene orocio ..martes pa lang nabenta na eto) ..<br /><br />mang rene (who owns a nissan cefiro as well) is the kind owner of orange bug. after ocular inspection...well it wasnt show quality but it was better than many vw bugs ive seen the past few weeks...and so after a few days...i decided that for his price ..the orange bug was ok....<br /><br />so today a thursday...sherwin hotvolks and mr rene delivered the orange bug to me here in plaridel town.<br /><br />i drove the bug around after the sale was concluded and after checking some more details...door panel bottom portion rusted...the brake line has to be replaced. the bug missing a radio. the clutch pedal a bit hard to engage and brake needs to be checked..but other than that...this bug is much better in person than the fotos shown here.<br /><br /><br />anyway im really happy get back to owning a vw. it wasnt much fun to be a lurker driving a Mitsubishi adventure.
